In order to present a multimedia content (digital image, video sequence, audio track) as a possible evidence in court, the authenticity of such audio-visual data must be assured, that is, what it represents must be truthful. In fact, multimedia contents are easy to process and distribute (or re-distribute), thus requiring for appropriate methodology for verifying that the digital evidence is an authentic representation of the reality it describes.
